This coming Sunday, August 24, Dr. Dana Wright, who is director of Christian Formation and Discipleship at First Presbyterian Church at Everett, Washington will bring a message to the congregation from Genesis Chapter 1, verse 26 through Chapter 2, verse 4 in a sermon entitled “The God who saves is the God who creates.” We look forward to hearing his message.
Last Sunday, Pastor Darrell Wenzek, who is also preaching out of the Book of Genesis spoke of the creation of the heavens and the earth. He will continue in his series on September 7 and then again on the21st. Pastor Ron Wedeking will be speaking on September 14 th.
Also last Sunday the congregation enjoyed a delicious potluck after the worship service while Roger Burkhart shared a professionally made video of his ten day trip to Israel in a group with radio talk show host Michael Medved. It presented some fresh prespectives about the conflicts in the Holy Land. Mr. Medved commented that sometimes when Jews travel to the Holy Land they tend to see only Israel and when Christians travel to Israel, they tend to see only the Holy Land. It was his hope to serve both and he did a good job as depicted in the video.
