This week at South Whidbey Community Church

May 26, 2008

If you want to find a mid-week Bible study, please contact Art Angst at 331-8365 or at FUZZWUZZ@WHIDBEY.COM .  Art us leading a Wednesday night study on Luke & Acts at 7:00PM.  Please contact him with questions.  He can direct you to where the group meets in the home of Rick & Dinah Zapata at Clinton.

Join us at 9:00AM for Sunday School where we study The Book of Romans verse by verse in an open discussion format.  Anyone who wants to know more about how Jesus would have us live our lives will be blessed in the discussion.   A second class led by Jim Craft will start mid-June.

We begin worship at 10:00AM each Sunday.  This week our speaker will be Darrell Wenzek who will be sharing a message out of Galations about personal responsibility.   We celebrate an open communion on the first Sunday of each month for anyone who believes Jesus is their Saviour.  We invite you to come and see if our casual but more traditional style of worship is a comfortable fit for you.

For the week leading up to May 25, 2008

May 19, 2008

Join us at 9:00Am for Sunday School where we are studying The Book of Romans verse by verse in an open discussion format.  Coming soon we will add a forum-type class where we will be examining the previous week’s sermon with it’s implications and applications.

We begin Worship at 10:00AM which includes a special guest speaker this week, Dr. Kathy Bence, who will present a message from the second chapter of Ecclesiastes about the meaning of life and how we find it.

On June 1, one of our favorite preachers, Darrell Wenzek returns with a message from Galations.

Welcome to South Whidbey Community Church

May 17, 2008

We are a non-denominational, independent, evangelical Christian church based on South Whidby Island.  We meet at 5142 South Bayview Road, Langley, WA.  which is the Deer Lagoon Grange.  (Click here for maps and directions http://www.maps.google.com

Our constitution quotes the National Association of Evangelicals as our statement of faith.  Our services are more traditional and include the use of a keyboard with a variety of sounds including the organ to accompany hymns and songs of praise.

We also have mid-week Bible studies that are primarily focused on study of scripture.  For information about subjects, meeting places and times, please contact us.

The easiest way to contact us is via e-mail at standandnancy@comcast.net but you can also reach us via snail mail at PO Box 95, Freeland, WA 98249.  If you need to speak with someone, please call Stan Walker at 360-331-7774.

We’ll look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
